The Tartufo Micro Dwarf Tomato is a compact, high-yielding variety that thrives in small spaces, making it perfect for container gardening, balconies, and windowsills. This unique variety produces small, round, deep red fruits with a slightly flattened shape and a rich, sweet flavor with subtle acidity. The plant remains under 12 inches (30 cm) tall and has a bushy, sturdy growth habit, requiring minimal support. Its ornamental appeal, combined with its delicious taste, makes it a fantastic choice for both decorative and productive gardening. Planting Instructions: 1. Starting Seeds Indoors: Sow seeds indoors 6–8 weeks before the last expected frost. Use a well-draining seed-starting mix and plant seeds about 1/4 inch (6 mm) deep. Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Maintain a temperature of 70–80°F (21–27°C) for optimal germination. Provide 12–16 hours of light daily using grow lights or a sunny window. 2. Transplanting & Growing Conditions: Once seedlings have two sets of true leaves, transplant them into 3–6 inch (7–15 cm) containers or directly into their final pots. When transplanting outdoors, wait until nighttime temperatures remain above 50°F (10°C). Use a well-draining potting mix and choose a container at least 1–2 gallons in size. Keep plants in a sunny location with at least 6–8 hours of direct sunlight daily. 3. Watering & Care: Water regularly, keeping the soil evenly moist but not waterlogged. Fertilize with a balanced tomato fertilizer every 2–3 weeks for optimal growth. Tartufo plants are compact and do not require staking, but gentle pruning of excess foliage can improve airflow. 4. Harvesting: Fruits typically ripen 65–75 days after transplanting. Harvest when the tomatoes are fully red and slightly soft to the touch. 5. Additional Tips: Suitable for indoor, balcony, greenhouse, or outdoor container growing. Can be grown year-round indoors under proper lighting conditions. Enjoy fresh in salads, as a snack, or in small dishes. This micro dwarf variety is an excellent choice for gardeners with limited space who still want fresh, homegrown tomatoes!
