Pink Geraniums, part of the Pelargonium family, are beloved for their cheerful blooms, fragrant foliage, and long flowering season. With delicate or vibrant shades of pink, these plants bring classic charm to containers, garden beds, and hanging baskets. They bloom profusely from late spring to frost, especially when deadheaded regularly.

Geraniums are not frost-hardy but can be overwintered indoors.

🌱 Planting Instructions:

Start Indoors:

  • Sow seeds 10–12 weeks before last frost.

  • Use a light seed-starting mix.

  • Sow seeds on the surface and press in gently—light aids germination.

  • Keep at 70–75°F (21–24°C).

  • Germination in 5–15 days.

Transplanting Outdoors:

  • Harden off after frost danger.

  • Choose a sunny location with well-draining soil.

  • Amend with compost if needed.

Spacing:

  • Space 12–18 inches (30–45 cm) apart.

Growing Tips:

  • Water when top inch of soil is dry.

  • Deadhead to promote blooming.

  • Fertilize every 2–4 weeks with a balanced liquid fertilizer.

Overwintering (for colder zones):

  • Bring potted geraniums indoors before frost.

  • Keep in a sunny window or cut back and store in a cool, dark place.

  • Water sparingly over winter, resume care in spring.
