Solanum lycopersicum

Hardin’s Miniature Micro Dwarf Tomato is an ultra-compact tomato variety developed specifically for small spaces, containers, and micro-gardens. Part of the micro-dwarf class of tomatoes, it produces abundant clusters of sweet, bite-sized red fruits on very short, bushy plants. Despite its tiny stature, Hardin’s Miniature Micro Dwarf delivers excellent yields and intense tomato flavour - perfect for snacking, salads, garnishes, and fresh eating straight off the vine.

Planting Instructions

Indoor Sowing:

  • Start seeds 6–8 weeks before last frost
  • Sow ¼ inch deep in a quality seed-starting mix
  • Maintain warm, consistently moist conditions
  • Germination: 7–10 days
  • Provide strong light once seedlings emerge
  • Harden off before transplanting outdoors once danger of frost has passed

Transplanting Outdoors / Containers:

  • Ideal for containers (6–12 in / 15–30 cm diameter) or small garden spaces
  • Plant deeply, burying lower stem to encourage strong roots
  • Provide support if needed (small cage or stake)

Care Tips

  • Sun: Full sun (6–8 hours a day)
  • Soil: Rich, well-drained potting mix or garden soil
  • Water: Keep evenly moist; do not allow to dry out completely
  • Growth Habit: Dwarf determinate (compact plant finishes fruiting without climbing)
  • Height: 10–16 inches (25–40 cm) very compact and ideal for small planters
  • Days to Maturity: 50–60 days from transplant
  • Feeding: Light, regular fertilizing during flowering and fruiting
  • Harvest: Pick when fruits are fully coloured and firm

Hardin’s Miniature Micro Dwarf Tomato is perfect for gardeners with limited space - balconies, patios, kitchen counters, and container gardens - delivering reliable production of sweet, colourful tomatoes without the need for large vines or trellis space.

Ideal for Canadian gardeners looking for productive tomato seeds that grow well indoors or on patios.
